Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026

These terms govern your use of Recallab at recallab.com. By creating an account or buying Premium, you agree to them.

Who you are dealing with. Recallab is operated by Auspec UK Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07134027), at The Lexicon, Second Floor, Mount Street, Manchester M2 5NT, United Kingdom. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Auspec UK Ltd, and "you" means the person using the site.

Payments are not taken by us. Our payment provider is the merchant of record for every purchase: they sell you the subscription, take the payment, charge any tax and issue your invoice. Their buyer terms, shown at checkout, apply to the purchase itself, alongside these terms which govern the service.

1. What Recallab is

Recallab is a study tool. It gives you medical multiple-choice questions with written explanations, references and illustrations, plus practice tools such as timed mock exams, progress tracking and revision apps.

It is education, not medical advice. Nothing on Recallab is clinical guidance and none of it should be used to diagnose or treat anyone. Questions and explanations are written for exam preparation and are simplified for that purpose. Always follow current clinical guidelines and your own training and supervision when treating patients.

We do not promise that using Recallab will make you pass any examination. Recallab is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any examining body, including the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, and we do not reproduce any examination's official questions.

2. Your account

3. Free use and Premium

Anyone can answer a limited number of questions each day at no cost. Premium removes that limit and unlocks the practice apps and timed mock exams.

Plans are one payment and do not renew

Every plan — Standard, Plus, Premium or Pro Learner, for 3 months, 6 months, 1 year or 2 years — is paid once and runs for its length, then simply stops. Nothing is charged again unless you choose to buy again, and we email you before a plan ends.

In the Android app, plans are sold through Google Play, which takes the payment under its own terms.

Prices are shown before you pay and include any tax our payment provider is required to charge in your country. We can change our prices, but a change never affects a period you have already paid for.

4. Refunds

Our refund promise is set out in full on the Refund Policy page, and it forms part of these terms.

5. What you may and may not do with the content

The questions, explanations, illustrations and the site itself belong to us or to our licensors. Your plan is a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study, for as long as your access lasts.

You may not:

We monitor for automated access and for accounts used by more than one person, and we may limit the rate of requests to keep the service working for everybody.

6. Keeping the service running

We aim to keep Recallab available, but it is delivered as-is: we cannot promise it will never be offline, and we will sometimes take it down for maintenance. The question bank changes as we add, correct and withdraw questions. If you spot an error in a question, please tell us — corrections are welcome and we act on them.

7. Ending your access

You can stop using Recallab whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 5, that is shared between people, or that is used to abuse the service or other users. If we close a paid account for one of those reasons we do not refund the remaining period. If we close it for any other reason, we refund the unused part.

8. Our responsibility to you

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, and because Recallab is a study aid rather than a clinical tool, we are not liable for examination results, for decisions taken in clinical practice, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

If you are a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer law gives you, and nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version, and if a change materially affects you we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Recallab after that means you accept the new terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own country, and you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws that apply where you live.
