How Batches work
Practise with the people you study with. Join your MBBS batch, or your college's mixed group of seniors, juniors and repeaters. Every week your group gets the same 10 questions to work through, a points board, and more free questions for everyone who joins in.
Groups
- 1Find your college. Every college on the National Medical Commission's list, the AIIMS and JIPMER, and FMG groups by country of study. If yours is missing, ask us to add it.
- 2Choose a group. Each college has a group for every MBBS joining year, an Intern / PG group, and one Mixed group where seniors, juniors and repeaters study together.
- 3Up to 2 groups. Unlimited groups with a paid Premium or Pro Learner plan. Leave a group and join another at any time; there is no waiting period.
- 4Your nickname, and your group's. Your groupmates see a nickname you choose, never your name or email. A group can give itself a name too, as colleges do: "Fleming's 15th batch".
What a group gives you
- ◷A weekly challenge. 10 questions, the same for everyone in the group (10 more for each extra group), from the subjects your year has studied: Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry in the first year, with the next year's subjects added as your batch moves up. If your group needs a different list, any member can ask for a change and Recallab checks it. It is practice, not a test: after each answer you see the explanation, can ask the Mentor or the Professor, and see how your group answered.
- ★A weekly board. Points for practice: 1 for every question you answer, 1 more when you get it right the first time, and 10 for finishing the challenge. Only points are shown, never anyone's score, and you can hide yourself. The week runs Monday to Sunday, India time.
- ↗Your group's weak areas. The chapters your group finds hardest this week, so you know what to revise together.
Free questions your batch unlocks
From 1 January 2027 a free account keeps free access for life. You count as person 1: 35 questions a week. Each of the first three people who join you adds 28 a week; after that each person adds 4. With 22 people you unlock 192 a week: the full 10,000 a year. A person counts once they have confirmed their email and answered at least 10 questions.

- ✓Your most active group counts. If you are in more than one group, your free questions follow the group with the most active batchmates; groups do not add up.
- ✓It never goes down. Once you have unlocked a number you keep it, even if groupmates leave or stop practising, or you change group.
- ✓The challenge is included. The weekly challenge questions come out of your week's questions.
- ✓Until 1 January 2027 everything is free. Every account has full access until then; your group's number shows what you will have from January.
Plans give you the whole bank with no weekly limit. A group whose numbers look unusual, for example many new accounts at once, may be paused while we check it.
